Simplicity RARE 370 Weedcutter on EBAY

They work quite well for burdocks and other weeds but will clog up and blow a $25 belt on thick tall grass. I bought mine from a Simplicity dealer about ten years ago for $150. The dealer bought it for himself to clear a lot to build his house. It was only used once on a one acre lot. At this time I know where there are four of them including the one on Ebay. I use mine on a 2210 and a sickle mower on a 3012, off we go cutting weeds for the day.

I'm new to this board and to owning a Simplicity. I saw this on EBAY and thought it might help, if anyone is interested. Made in the late 60's for a short time, they were discontinued as the story goes for safety concerns. The Model 370 40" Weed Cutter is apparently quite rare. It would also likely fit the 3300,3400, and 7000 series as well as the 700 and 900 series Allis Chalmers Garden Tractors equipped with a front PTO clutch(same one that drives the snowblowers) You get both the modified hitch and the original that was used on the late 60's tractors. ie: 2100,2200,3000,3100,3200 series Simplicity and AC B10, B12, B110, and B210.[A href='http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1262688283']http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1262688283[/a]
