coil conversion question

I haven't ever done the conversion itself and am not sure what's involved, but you usually want to change the condenser (capacitor) whenever you replace the points. It's a cheap part and not worth reusing.[A href='http://www.wheatfarm.com']http://www.wheatfarm.com[/a]

I've done several conversions and always have re used the original points and condenser with no problems at all. If you have to buy a coil anyway get a Kohler. I have had good luck with old Ford coils because I have had them laying around. Ron

I read the article on changing over from mag to coil. I noticed he used a new condenser. Can I use the condenser that is already mounted with the points? it seems this would be easier. thanks for your help. Jim V.
