Looking for a Stihl FS76

Last year I was returning from my sweet corn patch with my Stihl FS76 trimmer laying across the loader bucket on my 9020. As I drove thru the woods and up the hill to the house, the business end of the trimmer caught on a tree trunk and bent the shaft. My $300 trimmer is now junk. Anybody have one of these trimmers with a bad powerhead? I've also thought of converting the powerhead to make it into an ice fishing auger. I'd need a gearbox, though. Got any Ideas? Paul

Paul I may be way way out in left field on this but cant the shaft be straightened? If you bent it more than 90* probably not but just thought i'd ask. I have weed eater yard pro 2000 with straight shaft (has solid shaft thru tube). If yours has flex cable drive seems you could replace the outer tube and be back in business. I have Stihl dealer nearby and will ask if he has parts grade fs76 laying around. My chain saw needs some parts so will be seeing him soon. Dick
