When Did Front Mounting Points Change?

The mounting points on my 1968 B-112 and my 1985 7016 Simplicity are the same. When the 700 series came out in 1974 the front frame was lengthened, covering up the front PTO shaft. This means that the the frames for the front blades are not interchangable, but my yellow snowblower still mounts on the 700 series. The lawn tractors,AC 600 series, used different front mounting points and need an adaptor to mount the front blade.

After hearing of several cases where implements and attachments didn't fit, can someone tell me specifically when the front (i.e. front axle) mounting points changed, and what those changes were?

I think this would be very valuable info for all to know...

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
