Just got back from a business trip down to Ft. Valley, which is about 20 miles from Warner-Robins, Ga. When we got there about 8AM, and were standing in the parking lot, I heard the Ka-Boom/Boom sound I hadn't heard since 1970, half a world away... the sound of a sonic boom. Woman was standing close to me started complaining about how they been doing that for several days now, and she was just so damned tired of it. Being in great need of sensitivity training my mouth turned on her and said "You stupid bitch, that's the sound of your freedom being protected" She lowered her head and walked away.

my son was in Larchmont NY at the time of the attack(15-20miles from WTC)and he was impressed with the fighters breaking the sound barrier at 20 years old it was only the second or third time he had heard it happen. Sadly some people have not nor will they ever wake up to the fact that freedom is not free.I would forgive her this though we have grown acustom to living without fear of attack which says alot about what a great country we have. Pointing out the woman's ignorance was justified, slapping her to wake her the hell up would have been inappropriate though(even if that was really what she needed).
