I would also like to know if there is a solution to this problem. I have the same issue with my 2001 Regent even when I use the bagger. Let me know if anyone finds out more about this. Thanks, Marc

I'm enjoying my newly acquired 1997 Regent especially now that it's setup properly. I'm not using a bag and it cuts great but the clippings blow everywhere including the top of the mower deck even on a calm day. We've had a terribly dry summer in the Northeast so it looks like one huge cloud of dust when I'm mowing. I read somewhere there is a deflector available for this machine. Is this true and will it help keep the clippings from landing all over me and the deck? Thanks again in advance.

I'm not a dealer, so take the following for what it's worth (maybe I'm just spreading an unfounded rumor). I heard that Simplicity acknowledged the problem you describe with the Regent and has a way for dealers to fix it (maybe free to the consumer).

It is an called anti-blowout baffle and is available for newer models with the 38", 44" and I believe 50" mowers. Ask your local dealer.
