About my Model 700? manual.

Among the manuals I received with my Model 700 was the manual for the tractor itself. At least all the illustrations match my tractor as well as part numbers, but the manual makes reference to the Model 1250B riding tractor. Does anyone know what a 1250B tractor is or was? Was this an early designation for this tractor?

Today I called Simplicity again and let them know about the reference to the Model 1250B Riding Tractor in my manual. They have no record of a 1250B anything. I'm just wondering how my manual got printed with this "mistake" in the first place. It's a mystery still unsolved. So I won't lose any sleep over this I ordered a new replacement operators manual and a repair manual. Hope they don't say 1250B Riding Tractor in them!

Could the 1250B be the product number of the tractor, like 991250..? For example, there were 4 different Wonderboys manufactured in 1959-1960. They are 990154, 990164, 990165, 990166. They are referred to in the manual as the 0154 or just 154. You may want to ask Simplicity if they have any record of a 991250, 991250B, 9901250, 9901250B, or even a 1691250.

In my manual, the wording is exactly the way I typed it "Model 1250B Riding Tractor". When I told the people at Simplicity they did a search with just "1250" and came up blank.Searching that way would find "1250" even if it were embedded within other text according to them. When I latch on to something like this I start to ask too many questions of others and make a pest of myself. That's why I bailed out and bought new manuals. Maybe the person who typed the manual will read this and help out. HaHa.
