mfg. # Where is it located???

I have a b-208 and I can't find out what simplicity tractor cross references it. I thought if I knew the where the manufacture # was. I could cross it on the charts.. Thanks for the Help.. Jeff

AC does not actually use the MFG number system that Simplicity uses. Mostly the "hood" number and sometimes serial number is required to identify parts in the AC micro-fiche. B-206, 7 and 8 were made in 1968-69. There is not an exact Simplicity cross-ref but it fits into the early Simplicity Broadmoor series which used a two-belt trans drive from the first 6HP in 1964 up until the 717 in 1967 but only on a 2-speed trans. The 727-738 and later 3008(front engine), 5008 and 5010 used a single trans belt with a 3-speed trans. There are also other differences that Les pointed out in a previous discussion and may also be in the history section.
