Loader tractor up and running finally

Finally got my D/A loader tractor up and running. Looks pretty bad yet as far as cosmetics, but I have to add the steering to it before I do tinwork and painting. It runs and handles quite well since I remanufatured the loader frame to tie the two halves of the tractor together. I have it weighted about just right so there is no tipping while the bucket is loaded and up in the air. I drive a loader at work and I have built this machine so it "feels" just right in relation to a load carried. Its a bear to steer while loaded, but ok empty. It willl have power steering by spring though. I used 4 machines today doing my landscaping project. The D/A & loader for moving dirt here and there and loading the trailer. An AC 917 witha 46" dozer blade for some bullldozing action. An AC 710 with the AC dump cart, and a 2010 with a 42" grader to finish up with. I also used Johnny bucket on this project as well. It sure nice having the right tools for the job. Next year the agenda includes reviving my 4040, painting the D/A ,and building up a variant of Dutches "Gypsy Wagon", as I get pretty tired and disgusted at having to walk across my 10 acres to continually go back to the shed for tools I forget. See the pictures posted at the link below(if it works)[A href='http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=1778704&a=13757273&f=0']http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=1778704&a=13757273&f=0[/a]

Details, Details,........ walking or riding, when I get out on the other end of the property either way it takes time. I'm to the point where I need to write myself notes.....................only problem is I forget the notes...................so I figure to follow Dutchs' example and take the tool shed with.

RIGHT. Walk or ride doesn't make any difference..! Go get the chain saw... then the chain comes off... go get a wrench... then it stops... go get more fuel... you know you'll need bar oil too... fuel in one hand, oil in the other... steer with your knees. Take it all with you in the first place. Sam, how do you get 4 tractors to the far end of 10 acres..? I'm still working on that problem.

Sam, You have way too many toys to play with. But I guess there is no such thing as "too much fun". Roy

Dutch, Fortunately this project was only 50' from the shed. Next summer the projects are indeed out on the far fence line. I have two boys here that can drive some of them out but someone still has to hike back for the other(s). Roy, What you see there is only a drop in the bucket, and I sure did have fun on this project. Going out to clean the barn out next.
