No put down ment, but living in Alaska for 26 years I get a chuckle when I hear you guys talk of a "long drive" to get some good deal. Guess you can get yours back at me when I let you know its 60 below zero..MPH

MPH, appreciate your situation even if I'm only a amateur. 45 miles round trip to the nearest decent hardware store and 180 miles round trip to Sears or the Home Depot. Used to drive 135 miles round trip to work before retiring. Ron

I found a place this weekend that has 5 snowblowers and several AC & Simplicities for sale or parts. I'm looking for a 1690547 36" Snowthrower Requires 1690556 Hitch. I couldn't find the part numbers on the hitches or blowers. Does anyone know the locations of the numbers, or better yet any photos or manuals of these parts. He has 1 AC blower that looks like it'll fit my 6116, but I have no idea on the cross-over part number. Desperatly need help. leo.senus@aventis.com

Marty, Many times you can probably drive 100 miles to our 10 in the northeast. I'll drive 1000 miles to pick up a gadget I really want. Others may think I'm wacky. They may be right, but when I find something, I grab it.

I supplied that info when you emailed me last month. If you can't find the emails, let me know and I'll resend if I still have them. If they haven't been removed or painted over, the ID tags are the "stick on foil" type. There was a snowthrower and hitch like you need (with good photos) on eBay recently. I emailed the link, but never heard anymore from you. FOUND IT. Photos are still on eBay (see link)[A href='http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1641493482']http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1641493482[/a]

I can't help out with the snowblower, wish I could. I think Dutch is making a hint at people acknowledging the help they receive here. If someone helps out or attempts to help in a significant way let that person know. It smoothes the process here and makes everyone feel good. Woody

Thanks for the help earlier. The blower was in NH, a long way to drive from NJ. Unfortunately the foil sticker was not on the AC blower. I could see where it once was. I didn't see evidence of stickers on the Simplicity blowers though. One of the blowers looked like a 3 belt drive type that I saw here on the site. It may be easiest to load the tractor in the pickup and drive the 45 minutes to this place. He has a lot to choose from.[A href='http://www.simpletractors.com/parts/snowthrowers/drive.htm']http://www.simpletractors.com/parts/snowthrowers/drive.htm[/a]
