Simpl. 3314 needs help with Snowblower!

I have a 3314 with a synchro-balance engine (I don't think this is the original engine??). I purchased a snowblower that I thought would fit (according to your Cross Reference Information). It doesn't fit!! The clutch I have is made for an engine without synchro-balance. I need a clutch that will fit on a synchro engine. Did they make them?? It is about a 1973 model Briggs. Otherwise, does anyone have suggestions of how I can make this work? Thanks!

Unless I'm mistaken, all 12, 14, 15 and 16 HP engines were syncro-balanced. Could it be a gear reduction unit on the front of the engine?

Kent, not to far back, darn CRS disease, we had a post going on clutches and I took some pics of my gilson pto clutches for Sam as thier both different, but both 32000 series briggs, one called a 14hp and the other a 16hp. Apparently some had a double balance system or something, much larger flange on the power shaft side.
