Frames on a Diet..?

My 7000 series tractor frames are .310" thick (over 1/4"). My '96 Sovereign frame is .195" thick. The new Prestige frame is .135" thick (10 gauge). That's probably why tractors are known as "she" or "her". Most women believe they can never be too thin.

No, tractors, ships, cars, and machinery are known as "her" because they have feminine personalities. Treat them nice, spend lots of money, give them lots of attention, and they perform beautifully for you. Ignore them, don't spend money, abuse them, they pitch a fit and refuse to work properly until the situation has been corrected. Also,. the really nice ones cost a bundle to acquire, maintain, and keep. Roy

Things are getting kinda tinny these days, not only in tractors , but cars and everything else. Thats quite a difference between the 7000 series and the newer stuff.

Ok, Herb.... How did you explain the need for a new Prestige? What did she get in return? Diamonds, furs, or a new room full of furniture? I'd like to hear that one....

Kent, Stirrin' the pot is one thing, but don't start the rumor that I have (a) Prestige. I just got my info from the Prestige specs that Ray Stoddard was kind enough to submit. I know this is a repeat post, but I am hoping to get an answer by the morning...I received my Landlord this afternoon, and after speaking w/ the delivery guy, found I could have picked up the Conquest for a similar price. My understanding at the dealer was that the conquest was replacing the lawn tracker under the Landlord, but after seeing the specs, it appears to be very close to the Landlord. Only reason why I am not losing it is I think I may like the body lines better on the Landlord...Please advise...
