Electric Lift

Has anyone sourced or replaced the motor on an electric lift for the 7xxx series tractors? I have an spare one that I want to put on my blower tractor but the motor is shot. I took the end cover off and spun the gears by hand. The ram goes in and out fine without binding. Tested the motor by touching wires directly to battery just to make sure it was not the switch.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Do you have a shop nearby that rebuilds starters and alternators? If so, they maybe able to rebuild the motor as it is simular to a starter motor. I have one nearby, and the guy can rebuild anything that is 6 or 12 volt.

If you haven't found one already I do have a complete unit with the motor completely rebuilt. Rebuilder specializes only in starter, generator, alternator, & motor work. Gears are in excellent condition. Have not used the lift since being rebuilt. Seems to have a clutch problem but motor and gear are excellent.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
