I have seen a product that replaces the wheels with a unit that contains the track. This product looks roughtly like a triangle. I don't know how well it works, but many snowmobile clubs use them on Blazers to groom the trails.

A workable idea, but will it sell? If costs more than $10,000, not likely. It would be quicker and easier to just load a snowmobile behind a truck and drive where you want to use it, unload, start and go and for a lot less money. Easier to drive through the woods and narrower passages too.

That get an A+ for the WOW factor & it sure does raise the ground clearance ALOT. But as stated the Cost is a major factor not to mention if it shortens the life of the $2000 set of tires on that truck....It looks pretty abrasive inside there?

But WOW !

I bet it gets quite a bit of floatation...I'd like to know how much it multiplies the surface area, tires vs tracks. I'm sure it's pretty dramatic.
