B1 Engine Rebuild Kit

There are no rebuild kits, per se. All are individual parts. You have either a Model 19 or 19D Briggs engine and getting parts could be a challenge as that series engine is coming up to its 50th birthday.

What size piston do you need? Last I knew standard and .020 oversized were still available. I think its the connecting rod that will be harder to find. The 19 and 19D use different rods if I remember correctly. I know the crankshaft is a little bit different.

As BLT stated, there are no rebuild "kits." Briggs and Stratton only sold individual repair parts, some of which are no longer available for your engine. There are also no aftermarket suppliers for such a kit.

If you are going for a total overhaul, there would still be a lot of parts in an engine kit, if one were available, that you would not need. A rebuild will include a set of gaskets, or you can buy individual gaskets and get exactly what you need. You'll need rings for certain, a new piston, usually only if you bore, might need a valve as the ones in it can be ground back to spec if not burned. New seals, possibly the points plunger. A kit, if it were available, would include far more parts that you don't need. Most rebuild kits I have ever bought for other engines do not include rods, anyway.
