Anyone buy a 22NF battery lately?

Called the local Advance Auto Parts, they never heard of it... started to ask me what the car is... ugh.. never mind.

Carquest has it, for $160.00. Seems a little high.

You need to go to a Farm store like FLeet Farm that we have here in Wisconsin. They have them on the shelf here, actually labelled as Lawn and Garden batteries. I believe as the earlier post mentioned, they are somewhere just under $50.

Last time I checked our local TSC, they carried both the 22NF and 51R. I got my last 51R at Walmart because is was cheaper than TSC. I don't think Walmart carries the 22NF.

I recently needed the 22NF for my 75th anniversary Sovereign. I did some shopping around and found: TSC was nearly $100 for the 22NF, I think Orcheln's was $80, but their warranty was only someting like 30 days. Rural King didn't stock the 22NF. I can get the 22NF through my work, it would be a JD strongbox battery and have a 36 month pro-rated warranty, Even at my price its over $100. Its just crazy what these batteries go for. I'll probably just use the $22 L&G cheapie insead.

The last 22NF I bought from Carquest lasted me around 8 or 10 years. You get what you pay for. I will call and see what there prices are now here. Rural King still has them up here. Atleast at the Niles store when I was in there last Wednesday.

I'm a big fan of the Excide 51R at TSC. Stopped buying anything else after my first one. My Big Ten sees the least use, and will sit over a month some times. Battery feels like it's going to jump outta that rig when I hit the button, even now in winter. It's a crankin fool!

If you can't wait for a sale/coupon, they can still be had for under $70, depending on location. I moved and am now closer to one TSC than the other I used to frequent. They are about $5 higher on them. Got one in the 3212H that is dated to '07 and no signs of stopping.

Anyone ever take them in to get refurbished, or do the battery houses not offer that? I had wondered...they recently opened a big Interstate store near work.

We have several battery discount houses around so no one is doing much battery rebuilding.

I just got a 51R-MF from Rex's Battery Specialist for $60. with tax it come to $64.90.

Rex's are a family run business with 5 stores in central IL. I do a lot of business with them.

I bought a 22NF at Carquest about 2 years ago. It was about $75 back then. The local Carquest went out of business about 6 months back, though.

I just bought a 51R at Menards for about $45. They've got the cheapest batteries that I've found locally. Though, I have no idea whether they'll last as long as what they sell at NAPA, etc.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
