motor mounts

I have just installed new motor mounts on my deutz allis 1920 ultra. How tight should I tighten the bolts? I have tightened the bolts so that the rubber bushings are about 1/8 thick, top and bottom. I am not satisfied with the vibration I am getting. Anybody out there with a few tips on this would be aprreciated,Thanks.

I'm afraid I can't answer your question, but would be interested in your results. I have a Sunstar with shot motor mounts. I took them out and hard mounted just to get some hours on it but have a lot of vibration on my feet. I am planning to replace with new mounts.

Did you notice any difference when you replace them vibration wise?

Not much vibration wise.

I have tried to center the mounts as close as I could get them, I noticed a reduction in vibration.

I had to replace my flywheel as the magnets were all shot. Now I am looking at the drive shaft, seems unbalanced. Is there a correct way to reinstall the drive shaft to the spline of diff? Anyone out there with a similar drive shaft vibration?

Help needed with vibration problem!

Well I am happy to report Miss DA is finally purring like a kitten.

My motor mounts are fine, nice and tight.

The problem I had was with the driveshaft, apparently on this beast, there was a sweet spot on the orientation where the shaft meets the diff. Problem solved.
