hi lo stuck in lo

1964 LL When I shift to hi--seems to be free wheeling? In lo the tractor moves( ever so slow , so I know it's in lo). The shifter is moving the Drum? away from the locking collar, but it will not operate in hi. Any help would be appreciated. Have had 2 12" snow storms within a week and plowing takes too long in lo. Also I can't get the momentum to push from hi range . Thanks, Ken

first thing I would check is the 2 setscrews behind it that hold it on the shaft. When they loosen, and they will, it won't shift correctly.

They usually lock though, I've never had mine freewheel. If needed, just replace it with a standard pulley for the winter. ;)

Been there done that. I have the set screws come loose and I think "oh boy" and I check the screws and back to normal. Glad it wasn't anything catastrophic.
