Recommended Posts

Well gang I think after 40 years its time to rebuild teh Vickers in my 3314. It leaks its been acting up and other than that and a nice repaint its all thats wrong with my gramps tractor.

WHats teh best approach? Have it rebuilt? If so where? Buy a rebuilt unit? Same question? I know nothing about these units other than the only thing mecahnical thats ever scared me is automatic transmissions and this thing.....

This is a complete guess, but could the Vickers be swapped for a later rear end?

Dave don't follow my advice until you have confirmation since I have no knowledge in this area.

Here's some posts about rebuild, the first one is detailed with pics:

In the above link, I think Ray named a different pic the same as the one in this post, because I don't think a Briggs schematic is going to get it. (Our system posts the latest pic with the name where-ever/whenever it is)

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
