Simplicity and GE

I was at a JD dealer this week checking out his trade-ins (Simplicity and ACs) and was told by the salesman that he just heard that Simplicity sold out to General Electric. I don't believe that this is true, but I thought I'd mention it. If anybody knows it would be this group. I suspect that it was some other L&G company. BTW how many L&Gs manufacturers and still in business? Mike S.

I also had heard a rumor a while back that MTD had been interested. Was not happy to hear about the possiblity of that.
