I found a part number 990223 for the front counter weight, manual unavailable on simplicity site.

Anyone have correct part number or manual?

Also anyone know what one of those front counter weight weighs?

Thanks,

Chris

I have one, they weigh about 40-50#.

$80.00 and it can be yours, I don't use mine anymore since I have a hydrolift.

It's clean and bare, you primer and paint your choice of colors.

I have some info on the front weights. I went out and dug out the ones I have. There are 2 different one. The 990223 is the early one for the FDT's. The 990668 is the late one for RBT's. The length of the hitch parts and the attaching point for the lift rod are different. 990223 - weight p/n 154367. rod 107143990668 - weight p/n 171879. same rod, which was also the lift rod for late FDT 42" dozer blades. The 990223 appears to be in many different parts catalogs from the early 1960's up to about 1971?The 990668 is hard to find in parts manuals and in real life. Likely not made very long. It appears in a microfiche that shows some attachments for the 3300 RBT, but the catalog also contains Broadmoor and FDT weights. Between the part number and MFG number, it is the right range of numbers to be the same age as the 3300 RBT. Anyone have any 1972 or 1973 price books or sales brochures handy?I would consider trading off an early 990223 weight - I have a couple NOS ones, including one more yellow AC one. They are a bit weathered as shown - were not stored in a good building where I found them. Here are some pics. The yellow AC 2025024? one is the same as the 990223 Simplicity. The wire on the black one is how they tied the hardware bag to the weights when new. Some of mine still have the cloth bag with the pins attached.

How bout that! Never seen or heard of such a thing. If I had seen one in a swap meet, I'd have figured it for homemade.
