Power Steering, Old Large Frames

I added PS to my 7790 last year and it works really well, except for one thing-----------which may just be normal.

When you are using the hydraulics to lift something, you can't steer. Normally, priority would be to steering.

Do I have something hooked up wrong or is this normal??

The high pressure hydraulic line should go to the steering valve first, then from the Aux port on the steering valve to the spool valve. That gives steering priority over lifting.

My 1691021 unit is all controlled by pilot valve and the oil flow is out of hydro to steering ram and then to lift valve. I am installing and hooking it up when it gets warmer. Right now my tractor time is two, slim and zilch.sm00
