So here you guys were talking about Vansickle paint and using a hardener. Nice topic BTW.

I was at my local Walmart and they had these CH spray guns on their clearance rack for $49.00.

I have a 15 gallon compressor that will handle the small jobs painting tractor parts.

What are you guys using?

Tim,

That is the exact same one that I use. It does an excellent job. Harbor Freight has one now on sale for $11.99 the next time I go I plan to pick one up. It is amazing how much money you can save at HF if you print the coupons. That heat gun they sell does an excellent job. There little dollies are cheaper than you can get the casters for.

Tim I have that CH spraygun and it works very well. I use it with my homebuilt air compressor. A 2-stage compressor unit mounted on a 50 gal water heater tank...works well for paint & tools except when sandblasting, I need to let it catch up sometimes...sm01

I have use a pro Binks gun, from the best to the cheapest. The gun you showed from Walmart is almost the same gun that Harbor Freight sells. I use the HF gun with no problem. The key is cleaning the gun when you finished. If you take the time to clean the gun completely you should have little to no problems.

Side note; This is a must when using catalyst/hardeners. It will make you sick. the removable filters that keep the vapors out is a must. Paint mist and pint and thinner vapors are bad. But catalyst is 10 times as bad for your hole body, not just your lungs. Take it for me I have found it out the hard way.
