The word you can't read is "pulling".Anybody recognize this? By the "snap coupler" I'd guess maybe its for a farm tractor? Thanks in advance.

Yes , the Snap coupler hitch was unique to Allis Chalmers. It was on the WD, WD45, some CAs, and the D series tractors. Its claim to fame was that you could hook up to an implement without getting off the seat. The down side was that you had to take the draw bar off if you were going to hook up a snap coupler implement like a plow or disk.

I thought that the Snap Coupler Hitch was great. I grew up farming with a F-14 Farmall, then to a Farmall "H" and "M". The SC hitch was my first exposure to mounted equipment. I thought I'd gone to heaven.

In some ways, it is still superior to today's 3 point hitch. And yes, you could hook up most implements without getting off the seat.

I guess I'm telling my age. Eh?

Today I got a chance to look in my parts book- it says "emblem- trademark". I bet the square AC logo is whats supposed to be there.

Those snap couplers are neat- I've worked with them on a D-14.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
