4" Pulley for deck 1690252

I don`t think so. It wouldn`t be a big deal to use that one. I use a 4" on mine on a 917H. Old style arbors and a NOS 103303 deck hosing that replaces the old style deck housing for along time now. No problems. The pulley on a FDT and the cone clutch on a RBT use a 5" pulley. I wouldn`t worry about it or the adjusters. I have done it in the past.

The number on that pulley should be 174189 and it might be cast in.

Also if your existing hub doesn't have two sets of 3 drill holes, you will need to drill out three mounting holes for the smaller diameter pulley. And I believe hub has no pilot diameter to get accurate holes.
