K341 starter bracket

Well folks I've come begging once again. After searching my area I cannot locate a simple bracket for my starter. I found the whole starter but, I only need the bracket. This is a low mount American Bosch starter on a Kohler K341 engine. Oh, and this is an AC 300 series tractor. Any ideas on where I can find one ? HTTP://mumsysplace.freeservers.com/starter6.jpg

I'm looking to put a simular engine in to a 7010 the problem is that it has a low mount starter bracket and I need a high mount starter bracket. (i'm not much for notching frames) I'm willing to trade brackets, but not looking to sell, as a whole working engine is more useful to me then one w/o a starter bracket. Just checked I belive my engine is a K301. It's 12hp and the bracket looks identicle. John

John, I don't want to trade brackets with you. 'cause my bracket is broke. However, in my search I found all sorts of high mount brackets and starters. This one fellow runs a small engine repair/mower repair shop behind his house. ...M.A.P. SMALL ENGINE REPAIR SERVICE ...6925 N. OAK Road ...Plymouth, IN 46563 ...(219)-935-5890 These are good folks. Give them a call and they'll set you up with what you need. In the mean time I'll still be looking. :)

Hi Eddy, I did have it welded. It looked good and put the starter back on the engine. The engine fired right up and I let run for a while. I shut it off and went on to winterize the tractor. Removed and cleaned battery, clamps, etc. Brushed off dust, dirt. Changed oil. I was ready to take it to the shed which is about 300 feet away. The engine cranked great.., too great. broke bracket again. The welding job didn't cost anything so I'm not out any money for it. here's a pic of the end where you can see part of the weld. Les mabey you missunderstood, what I ment was I'll trade you my low mount starter bracket for a high mount starter bracket that is not broke... An even trade. So if you can pick up a high mount starter bracket I'll trade you because every where I go they want to sell me the whole starter assembly, which I don't need. I could call the place you mentioned but you still need a bracket, this way everyone gets what they need.

Weird... I could have sworn that I saw your name as Les, sorry. It was a late night and a long day.

John, Okay, now we understand each other! I'll need your numbers off the engine to make sure I find the right one. I saw four or five different high mount starters the other day. also some mounted on the left side as well. My starter mounts on the right.

Steve I don't have the Model # of the engine it's self. The blower housing dosent look original however the casted # on the bearing plate is 45 499 04 and the printed # on the starter bracket is 0599521M030S with what maybey looks like an "M" after the "S" and a printed date of 6 17 87. The casted # on the starter bracket is PL551085C. I hope these numbers help. John Ps sitting on the tractor the starter would be on my right as well If all else fails engine model K301S engine type 47642D is what the engine ref says a 7012 came with.
