snowblower pully pto size

Recommended Posts

I am staring at 2 pullys, can anyone tell me the correct size, one is quite small, the other bigger. Can someone let me know which size is correct for a 1 stage snowblower (both are cast iron and came off of tractors.) Is there ever a use for a 2nd pully? I tried a search but didnt get far.

Here's a list of stock pulley sizes:

FDT driven pulley = 5.25"

FDT driver pulley = 4.375"

RBT driven pulley = 7.00"

RBT driver pulley = about 5.75"

Since you state the pulleys you have came off tractors and are cast, I'm thinking FDT driver. I know the stock ones were cast.

The RBT tractors use either the mechanical front PTO or center PTO on the 7100 series tractors. I've also seen RBT tractors with the larger pulley on the engine crankshaft driving a snowblower, but they are direct drive (no clutch).
