8 HP Briggs stator question

I have a question regarding the 8hp briggs engine that is in the old Jackobsen rider I just purchased.

I was doing a tune on this 8hp briggs and when I pulled the flywheel I noticed that the engine was equipped with a stator coil that runs off of the flywheel.there are 2 wires that come off of the stator and run onto a small block on the starter motor mount. The top wire is fused and runs up into the steering tower. The bottom of the two wires seems to be a female type plug that is not plugged up with any wire at all. I do not have a wire diagram and am assuming that this plug is for the headlamp option that my tractor does not have? Can anyone tell me if that is correct?

Thanks, Mark

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
