what fluid to use

I have read several things on it just can't decide what is best fluid to use in sunstrand hydro units,have heard people using automatic trans fluid just curious if hydraulic/trans fluid for farm tractors would be better.

Not sure which is the better of the two. Probably better wear charistics with the hydraulic/ trans fluid. I have used both types. I use Dexron because my truck and car use the same.

Allis recommends AC Power Fluid 821.
