I am working my powermax and am trying to find out what model it is.The problem that I am having is that it does not charge while looking at the book it shows a 3 wire system for the voltage regulator on the 9020 and 4 wire for the rest of them.So how do I find the model by the i.d. number? the i.d.number is 001142 and once I figure this out I can work on why it does not charge.Bob

Bob, it would help to know what book you are looking at and what pages. The only powermax tractors that did not use the two piece rectifier and regulator were the 4040 and AC 616 which had the Onan CCKA engine. The 4040 regulator looked like this

The stator used with this system only has two wires coming from it. They connect to the AC terminals on the regulator. The B+ on the regulator is the output and the case of the regulator has to be connected to ground. John U

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
