Carb Rebuild

It seems that the carb on my old 1978 Simplicity Broadmoor II Model 6011 needs rebuilt. The Briggs & Stratten 11 horse 1-lunger runs OK, but the throttle response is iffy and it doesn't idle very smoothly. I don't have the time or inclination to rebuild it myself. My question is...what should I expect to pay a dealer to do the rebuild? Is there a club-member (dealer) near me that I can patronize? I live in western Pennsylvania. Thanks. Randy

I don't know what the going price for a carb rebuild is but since you live in western Pa., I would try Sandy Lake Implement. They are a sponsor of this site and are in western Pa.

You're relatively close to Sandy Lake (club member/sponsor). They've be around since 1954. I'd try them.[A href='http://www.simpletractors.com/sponsors/sandy_lake.htm']http://www.simpletractors.com/sponsors/sandy_lake.htm[/a]

Thanks for the info guys. I have contacted a dealer who can take care of me. I will drop off the ol' girl in a few weeks once I finish a couple more fall-time chores. Randy
