3212v carb troubles

Recommended Posts

Well, last week i tore apart my Sovereign 3212v, it wasn't getting spark so off went the motor and we replaced the coil. Then tonight we did a bench test and the motor wouldn't run (It would but only on strait ether). I've narrowed it down to the carb, so i'm gunna rebuild it. But, when i tried to take the main jet out.... well, long story short the threads that the needle thread into are stripped. ngr2 Any ideas how to get it out? ANY help will be much appreciated.

I don't know if this is the same thing, but when i had the problem that the threads were mainly just flattened a-little. And of course the jet was stuck. So i drilled out the old one going up 1/16" drill bit size each time. I drilled it out, and retapped the inside where the jet goes. Put the new jet in, and i haven't had a problem since. Just make sure you don't go too big on the drill bit size, and drill the threads out.
