Might pull the starter and clean it out good, put some lub of the bushings and try it again, if the brushes look ok. Did that to the one on my 16hp Briggs in the loader and works and sounds like new, it had a hard time spinning before.

Before I would go to the trouble of pulling the engine, I would hook up some jumper cables from a battery on a running vehicle.

New anything can be bad from the factory.

id="quote">Dave, that probably indicates you have a bad connection somewhere. Could be the neg battery cable to ground. Make sure both ends of both battery cables are clean and well connected.Put your meter right across the battery terminals, when you hit the key and the solenoid clicks the voltage should not drop a whole lot if the battery is fully charged.John U

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
