Kohler Magnum, Kentucky

I know this may be the wrong place for this but...

For ou Kentucky / souther Illinios area members, there is a Horizontal Magnum twin on flea bay. He states it is a 15 horse (I think because it came out of a Cub that was a 15 something model), but in looking at the Kohler engine specs site, I think it must be an 18 or 20. Either way the price is very right, and the ad ends in about 19 hours. If I were in the area, I would snap it up in a heartbeat. Dirt cheap for a repower, if I am correct in what it is.

Good luck boys!

Now, I find this interesting. Looking closely at the pictures, there is one that shows "Magnum15" on the air cleaner cover. Going to the Kohler Owners / Service manual site, there is no 15 hp Magnum or KT Series engine shown, and no Magnum under 18 HP in a twin configuration.

Is this an oddity? Special design for CUB? If so, wouldn't there still be a manual for it? 1-1/8" shaft on a 15 HP engine? My Magnum 18 is only a 1" shaft. Now I am curious.......

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
