I caught a good case of the "old orange fever"

Guys, A week ago I went to my friendly neiborhood L&G dealer / junkyard just to see what he had new in the old "GOOD" stuff. Normally I look for Bolens equipment but that day he had quite a few Landloards and Soveriens and no Bolens. Since I joined this club I've heard nothing but good about these tractors and how they performed. While navigating through narrow paths between old abanded worn out machines,I spotted a 3112 off into the distance. The closer I got to it the more right hand trembled and shuck towards my wallet. Then I went unconcious. The next thing I remembered was a 3112 sitting in my garage a day later. Now all I can think of is how am I going to get my next one. Has anyone shared this same out of body experience? Is there help? Even if there is no hope, I sure am proud to be an owner of the orange. I have a few questions I am sure you guys can answer: 1.Were can I get decals? 2.Will a Magnatron module work on this Briggs 12hp? 3.Is there any hydralic lift kits out there for sale? Thanks for all your inspiration and help in advance. John

Welcome John - NOS decals may be available - try Sandy Lake Implement, one of the advertisers from the home page of this web site. Otherwise, many members rave about decals made up for them by Uncle Bob...contact him at robert.winter@snet.net. I believe he is also listed as a parts supplier on the website listing. I can't help you with engine info. As for a lift, search thru the for sale ads, and talk to the advertisers like Sandy Lake. Good luck!

I myself collect old Cub Cadets, until someone told me about an old B-10 that someone wanted out of their yard. For free. Well it was settin there for 15 years and with minimal effort and some help from the great guys on this site it now runs. I'm hooked on these old B-10's now.

John, I don't think you need to worry yet. I'm beginning to wonder about myself though.. This year thus far I have brought home somewhere around 27 tractors and 19 implements(quite frankly I lost accurate count about August). This does not count the off brands or mower decks. I guess I just dove in and never looked back.

You got to sneak them in when the wife is at work or under the cover of night. But make sure you hide then in with all the others. When she asks when you got it tell you have had it for quite a while.Works for me.Big shed sure helps.Bob

Welcome, Jbuck', Hope you have as much fun as we do here. JP, I hope Betty Ford doessn't have a clinic for this. For some of us it's our only sanity maintenance outlet. Anyway, let me know if you have any ?'s on the 4041. Ka9bxg, You need to show your wife what these little orange and white things are capable of. Then do some landscaping things for her. Pretty soon you'll NEED more tractors cuz she's using the other ones. Paul

Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! You guys are great. A bad thing for my new habit is a friend of a friend said I could store "stuff" (code word for more outdoor power equipment) in his barn. Watch out now, I might get it as bad and Smillin Sam. Remember this Guys....It is easier to beg forgivnes than ask for permision. Bob, Another thing to try is to say "you just bought it to resell and you need to do a little fixing on it first" Paul,I think there should be a Betty Simple Tractors Clinic for all of us that need powere equipment fixes. JimV, I have been pretty Johnny Bucket busy thanks to all the club members support and inthusiasum. I finall got to see your machines and your JBJr. on them at the get together on the east coast. Nice Thanks for the Ha! Ha!'s and have a good Thanksgiving. John

Geez it just still amazes me that so many others seem to catch this what ever it is on this site or from one of us just passing it on. At one time up to last year I had 13 all restored and running. Of course I couldn't have them around here so my good son that they all are let me store them at his place. Well one way to kick the happit is to have your son's garage burn down with most of all your favorite tractors in it. But this was only a temporally fix now I have the bug again and I agree with some others it best to just buy them ahead of telling the boss "wife" that is and tell them what ever it is they want to hear. There are so many wonderfull people on this site and having the same problem "TRACTORS-TRACTORS" and the more the better LOL. Best to all and Happy turkey day, >>->happyjack<-<< P.S. Parts don't even seem to be a problem with sponcers and members like we have the best there could ever be let alone all the information and experience we all have. All anyone has to do is ask something and before long there is an answer or answers to it.
