I need help installing a camshaft

Recommended Posts

I'm rebuilding a B&S Model #95902 3.5hp and the camshaft fell out. I can't google an answer to lining up the teeth with the crankshaft. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanx, Dave

There should be timing marks on the cam and crank. I think crankshaft should be at TDC with the timing mark facing toward the camshaft gear. Also, one mark should be on a tooth and the other between two teeth.

Got it. My old eyes couldn't find that faint dot on the CS gear. The TDC facing the cam was the hint that did it. Thanx, Dave

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
