Vickers or Sundstrand?

Recommended Posts

I have an Allis 919. I also purchased a parts tractor with a vickers. Would it be beneficial to put the vickers in my 919? I have never used a vickers.

Nick,

The Vickers was used before the sunstrand. Some of the vickers has a tendency to leak. But some members find them smoother and faster than the suntrand.

That said if the tractor originally had a sunstrand I would stick with a sunstrand only because swapping a sunstrand for a sunstrand would be easier.

Rick.......

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
