Today I went out looking for a new coil for my K-301 on my A/C 912H. I have a question. While I was looking for the right one, there was two types. There was a coil with an external resistor and one with an internal resistor. Which one do I need? Does the resister make a big different on the points? Thanks, William Jordan (Tractor Guy)

You need the coil with the internal resistor. Without a resistor, either internal or external, the points will quickly burn out. These tractors or engines were not equipped with an external resistor.
