Hi-Lo Gear will it fit?

Will a Hi-Lo Gear, complete set up, off the B-series Allis's work on a Simplicity 3410?

I am not too familiar with those larger Simplicity's.

Thanks,

Chris

I don't think I've ever seen a hi low set up on a Running board tractor....

Thinking about it, as long as the 3410 has the standard 3 speed transmission, I don't see why not.

You would have to drill a hole I think for the handle mount bracket, and the handle might not be long enough to come out from under the seat pan.

Otherwise, I can't imagine any other problems.

Why don't you try it and let us all know :D:D

Thanks Dan.

It is a 3 speed transmission so in theory it should work.

I'll let you know.

Thanks,

Chris

You'll never know unless you start fitting parts and have your local machine shop fab something up to make the shifter work, before, during, and after you snap lots of photos for us.sm00sm00sm00

I s'pose it would also make a difference if the two case cover bolts were in the correct location to mount the shifter and pivot.

If nothing else, leave the shifter off. Popping the seatpan to shift by hand isn't that inconvenient, and beats a long, slow creep to the garden with a 10" pulley XX(

Doesnt the hi-low need the trans input shaft to be cut shorter?? are the BGB shafts the same on the FDT and the 3400? and the hi-low shifter handle/rod will need to be longer for the longer sideplates...or like Josh said just lift the seat to engage sm01

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
