B110 Pulling Flywheel and Steering Bushing?

Recommended Posts

My B110 is in major need of a new gasket set. What is the best way to pull the flywheel? I can get the Briggs puller for around $15, or I can buy a harmonic balancer/steering wheel puller set for $25 which looks like it;d do the job and would have some other uses around here.

Also, steering wheel is very sloppy in the dash. Looks like AC used a bushing # 2026015. I'm guessing that is shot. Don't see anything like it in the Simp. parts book. Was that an AC only thing and where would I find one or something that'd work?

2026015 crosses to 2157077SM Bushing, Steering $31.86 according to simplicity website I use it is still available.

I've seen several of the bushings wear enough to slide down below the steering tube and no longer function. they have a lip at the top, that wears off, allowing them to drop into the tube. I have on occasion put a small hose clamp below them to keep them from sliding down. It would be hidden from view inside the tube.

As for the flywheel, generally no special tool is needed, but if you want to buy something, get the balance wheel puller so it can be used elsewhere too.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
