POR-15 Hardnose paint for deck?

Recommended Posts

Anyone use this paint on a mower deck (topside) and how well has it held up?

Started another 48" deck restore today.

I used it on a mower deck and it has held up good. After I painted the deck with Por-15 I had to rebuild a deck arbor. I had to use a hammer to remove the arbor because the Por-15 almost glued the arbor on. jh

I also used POR 15 on my mower deck, both bottom and top. I top coated the top side but not the bottom. So far so good but I just did it last winter so not much use yet. I've used it on car frames and undersides and it's held up good.

I used it once and it was durable. But as with any paint, surface preparation means a lot. I never used it again due to price. Good luck with your project.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
