conundrum, anomoly or plain confusion ???

Recommended Posts

Stepson is repainting a 725. On the left side plate, top bolt that goes into the transmission, there are 2 washers behind the plate to make the side plate fit.It appears the threaded "boss" in the transmission is too short. So I went looking. I have 2 725 and 2 B1 transmissions here to look at.1 of each has the shorter boss, and on 1 of each it is longer.Anyone have a clue ???Kinda hard to see in the pics, but in the first 2 the boss ends even with the tranny case, and in the 2nd 2 pics it sticks out about half the thickness of the brake bracket

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
