I would like to nominate my personal favorite AC/Lexington tractor, the one and only Allis HB-314. It's a 'modification' machine put together by Paul (Mack) and is a real neat, unique blend of the cool AC 300/400 styling, and the traditional AC/B-series color scheme and hydrolift.

I guess since Homelites are allowed I will nominate my Homelite T-16. It started it's journey with me when Bob(BLT) told me about a pole barn full of old Simplicity and other brand tractors. Bob and I went there to see what we could buy but the prices were way too high. Months went by and the prices went down, way down. My brother in law and I proceeded to buy up trailers full. Here is one of the loads with the Homelite (T-10)

DSC02113.jpg

DSC02114.jpg

Yes, it started out as a T-10.

homelitebefore.jpg

Well, I decided it needed bigger tires on the back and side headlights.

home.jpg

After that the restoration began. I started by removing the hood and used electrolysis to remove the rust.(it also removed most of the paint). I also used the tub for the frame and console.

homelite2.jpg

homelite3.jpg

Since I was taking it completely apart I thought I would add some options. So, a hydrostatic transmission and electric lift were robbed from this donor.

hydrochassis3.jpg

New paint, decals, seat and front tires later.

homeliteb.jpg

And finally the 16hp Briggs.

Thanks Josh for the nomination. That tractor took me around six years to get completed. It went through many variations with a lot of trial & error and long periods of inaction before becoming my dream tractor!

The frame is the 410s that I grew up on, putting many hours behind the wheel mowing, tilling and plowing snow. The dash, steering and sheet metal are from a 312v that was my first tractor purchase many years ago. B series seat, hydro lift and foot pegs from a tractor purchased from Keith Gearhardt. The hydro rear end came from Bryan Osenga when his garage was full of 700/7000 series machines.;) With other parts coming from Dan Poppelman (peppydan) and decals from Cory Forrester.

Homelite T-8 001a.JPG

Homelite T-8 002a.JPG

Homelite T-8 004a.JPG

After getting it I gave it a good cleaning and a new paint job,Needed a motor so I found a good 8 hp Briggs. Found a new high back seat and 4 lug tires for it.The only mod I did was to hide the tank under the hood from a old Broadmoor since i didnt like the looks of the Side engine mount tank that came from factory. Here is a few Photos from the show on Saturday in Plainfield

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
