Grinding Gears

Got the B110 back together, motor runs great. Can't get the bevel/Trans belt to stop no matter how the stop is adjusted. Notice there is no Bevel gear/PTO stop on it. Manage to get it in gear and it goes fine, but when I press the clutch I hear a flailing/grinding sound, when I release, it goes again.

I hope its something simple, but a few questions;

Does the Bevel/PTO belt stop help stop the drive belt?

If I wind up needing a complete rear end/transmission in bolt on shape are there Members here that would be willing to sell/ship such an item?

Usually this is a symptom of the belt stops/guides not properly adjusted. They have to be set up so that they barely clear the belt under tension, and make contact when the clutch/brake is depressed. I would be willing to bet that this is your issue, assuming you have the proper belt in place.

The alignment of the belt stops shapes the belt so that it does not grab into the driving pulley when it has slack in it. If the belt is left to go to its own oval shape it will still grab into the driving pulley and keep the driven pulley running.

      Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
