725 project.

Recommended Posts

Here we go, I admit, I'm hooked. The 700 last year, last month the 2 738's, one of them is mowing my son's yard, the other in the works, fixing a trans problem, and now, the 725. We had to make a make-shift dolly cart to get it up to the garage, as the front wheels were froze solid. I ended up using lots of PB Blaster and the O/A torch to heat up the hubs, to get them loose. I think the Allis decals will go, with the sanding and new paint. This one is going up north, so I might get a little creative with the paint job. One thing I need to find is the chrome Simplicity 725 label. One is missing. And, I'm going to replace the rear tires with the lugged tractor tires, like what it has now, only I will mount them in the right direction. I'll take pics along the way, as I know we all love pictures!. I'm also looking for a grader blade ( I have a listing in the classifieds). This will be used for driveway maintenance, and hauling wood. It's way to rough on our wooded property to use as a mower. Besides, who mows when your in the woods! I'm also thinking if I can't find a grader blade, I'll re-build one of the dozer blades I have into a grader blade. There is bait shop / motor repair shop about 10 miles from me in Lac du Flambeau, WI, that has a yard full of old outboards and Simplicity tractors. "Jims Bait Shop and Small Engine Repair" should be a good source for "goodies". Mike.

For some reason, #3 pic won't up load. Oh well, you get the idea!

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
