Painting ?

Recommended Posts

I am looking for some good paint I have a 7117 which I am making over to a 920 I am putting a Kohler 20hp Magnum on it.

So I am planning on painting but not sure on the paint to use and was wondering if anyone has ever used the TSC or Rural King paint which is Majic Tractor & Implement Enamel I got some of the AC color but that looks more like a pumpkin color.

Not sure if you plan to use spray cans or a gun. The Simplicity paint in quarts is an excellent quality paint. It is made by Valspar and dries pretty quick so that you can handle it.

I bought a can of yellow Magic paint from TSC and I didn`t think it would ever dry. It did turn out well but I don`t think I would ever use it again.

Van Sickle makes good paint as well.

The Majic paint in AC orange is quite a bit lighter color orange than AC used. I think these spray can companies pic a color they like and go with it.

I plan to paint my 917H one of these days. I bought Corporate Orange from an AGCO dealer. They told me that was the correct paint for my tractor.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
