3 speed tranny oil capacity.

The 2 738's I'm working on (1 is together, and doing a great job mowing my son's yard, #2 is in the refurbish stage) have the 3 speed manual trans, which, from what I have found out, is the same trans used in the Serf, Yeoman, and Broadmoor, the 525 through 738. I have downloaded the manuals, and parts diagrams, but I can't find the capacity. I use the 90w gear oil from TS, and I judged the amount to put in, by how much old oil I drained out. I put in about 1 1/4 quarts. The only plugs are the top and bottom. Any one know how much your supposed to put in ?

Thanks,

Mike.

The plug through the trailer hitch is the fill/check plug.

There were two different three speed gearboxes (and maybe more) for this tractor series.

My Serf has axles of different diameters.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
