Plow Trac Garden Tractor

Recommended Posts

I have a montgomery ward 2 wheel tractor with a tag that reads the following: mfg# sim-990136a and serial# 85x-15281 and has wards 6x12 ag tires on it. Can anyone tell me what model and year it was made?

Thanks for any information any members can furnish.

About 1957-58 is best guess from me. I have an operators manual that could get you in ball park from Simplicity. PM me with your E-mail address and subject.

Hey allis712,

I'd need a few days to dig into the shed and conform, but I have 2 Plow Trac machines and both are identical to the Simplicity Model V

Solid axle with dog clutches, 3 forward + reverse, briggs model 14 engine.

Only difference on power unit is the Wards Riverside Tires, and the S/N plate.

Montgomery Wards also sold walkers made by Midland, and possibly others, and some of the attachments I have for my Plow Trac's are not Simplicity.

Good luck getting yours sorted.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
