7117 not charging

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to test the stator on my KT17? The engine isn't charging, I put in a know good rectifier but that didn't help.

Check the stater with an AC voltmeter. If I remember correctly the voltage should be in the high 20s to low 30s. There is a spec somewhere on this site but I can't find it ATM.

Good question BLT I didn't check that. It was charging, but I was doing some tinkering on it, took the switch out and put a different one in that wasn't compatible then got one that worked. That is when I noticed it wasn't charging, not sure if it was before or not. I'll check that regulator.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
