Mowing with duals

Recommended Posts

I am converting my 718H into a 716H for mowing my slopes. Want to run duals with a 48" deck. Looking to see if a pair of 8.50's will fit inside the mowing coverage of the 48" deck.

Anyone have this set-up? Or think I stand a chance? Rather have the footprint inside the mow path, but maybe the deck vacuum will stand the grass up if not?

I put 8.5" duels on a 64 landlord using 3" wide spacer rings between the beads of the rims. It went thru a 60" gate with about 6 inches to spare.

I've heard of axle problems while running dual 8.5" tires.

I would go with Kent's recommendation and run the dual 6" wide tires.

60"-6"= 54" Still too wide for a 48" deck.

On the other hand, I would like to try dual left side rear ags for plowing just for the left side weight.:D:D

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
